The Prophet (pbuh) stressed Unity as part of his Sunnah:
At-Tirmidhi reported from Abu Rafi` and others that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I do not want to see any one of you reclining on his couch and, when he hears of my instructions or prohibitions, saying ‘I don’t accept it; we didn’t find any such thing in the Book of Allah.’” Abu `Isa said: This is a good authentic hadith.
(See: Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Shakir edition, no. 2663)
Allah (swt) invites all people to accept the moral teachings (Akhlaq) from the Qur'an as a model whereby mercy, compassion, tolerance and peace may be experienced in the world. In Surat al-Baqara 208, this command is given:
" O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy ""
"And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah (God) make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided" [3:103]
ANYONE WHO REJECTS THE SUNNAH OF THE PROPHET, PEACE BE UPON HIM, DOES NOT BELIEVE IN THE QU'RAN:
In these Holy Ayah Allah(swt) wants to show the Muslims what they should abide by, in order to adhere to Islam. They should stand with Muslim unity, and call for the good and forbid what is wrong. They should reject any dissent and fragmentation having been guided to what they should follow through Allah's Book(Qu'ran) and the Sunnah of His Prophet
As we see in this verse, people will experience well-being and happiness by living according to the moral teaching of the Qur'an. The Qur'an is based on the concepts of morality, love, compassion, mercy, modesty, self-sacrifice, tolerance and peace, and a Muslim who truly lives according to these moral precepts is highly refined, thoughtful, tolerant, trustworthy and accommodating. To those around him he gives love, respect, peace of mind and a sense of the joy of life.
